Jennifer F. Stringer, a former employee of the $31 million University of South Alabama Federal Credit Union in Mobile, Ala. will not be able to work in any federally insured financial institution after NCUA issued a prohibition order against such employment.
The agency took the step after Stringer was found guilty and sentenced to 10 years in prison for identity theft.
The prison sentence was suspended pending her good behavior, but she was also sentenced to probation and ordered to repay over $43,000 in restitution.
