The holiday season got off to a patriotic start for American Heritage FCU in Philadelphia with the fifth annual Grand Illumination at the $1 billion credit union's Carriage House Branch. Ben Franklin, George Washington and Betsy Ross were there, joined by American Heritage mascots Pat the Patriot and Lucy Change. The Philadelphia Boys Choir and Fifes and Drums of the Old Barracks performed for the crowd estimated at more than 5,000 people, a 40-foot Christmas tree was lit, and then the fireworks.

A couple patriotic friends helped make the holiday kickoff at American Heritage a special night in Philadelphia for this young man.
