Mobile bill pay usage is growing, with more than six million Americans using smartphones to pay bills in the past year, according to Fiserv Inc.'s 2011 Billing Household Survey.
Other lead findings from the third annual online poll was that nearly 20% of online consumer households change the way they bills each month and that e-billing interest has hit a new high, the company said.
"Consumers indicate it is important for billers to provide multiple payment options and many report changing the way they pay their bills month-to-month due to timing and funds availability," Fiserv said in a statement about the report.
