The headquarters of a major SEG is host for the fourth personal automated teller machine being deployed by the $1.1 billion, 113,000-member American Heritage Federal Credit Union in Philadelphia.
The PAT machine–which provides personalized two-way interaction with call center staff – will be on the fourth floor near the cafeteria of the G. Fred DiBona Jr. Headquarters Building of Independence Blue Cross.
The machine can handle most typical teller transactions, including check cashing, cash and check deposits, dispensing of coins, currency and checks, payments, transfers and account and loan initiations, American Heritage FCU said.
The PAT system is live during call center business hours on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the credit union said. An adjacent ATM is available at all times.
The PAT units are from uGenius of Sandy, Utah.
American Heritage FCU said it became the first financial institution in Pennsylvania to offer a PAT machine when it placed its first unit at the Torresdale Campus of Aria Health last year in Northeast Philadelphia. In September, the credit union opened its first supermarket branch, deploying two PATs at the Parkside Shop Rite in North Philadelphia.
