The $1.7 billion Municipal Credit Union and St. John's University got together to distribute more than 300 Thanksgiving turkeys and holiday pies to deserving families in the New York City borough of Queens. MCU representatives and St. John's mascot Johnny were joined by members of St. John's men's and women's soccer teams in distributing the holiday dinner to the local groups, which included churches, food pantries and other service programs. MCU said the Thanksgiving dinner donation is part of its corporate commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, and that this was the first time the donation was held in Queens.
