COLUMBIA, Md. – Tower FCU Senior Member Services Representative LeShawn Whitley said she didn't see a whole lot of new member activity on Nov. 5, Bank Transfer Day, but one member had had enough with Bank of America.

Lisa told Credit Union Times she'd had about enough of BofA's runaround after they transferred her childrens' inactive accounts to the state and it took two years to get the funds back. She just happened to get the checks from the state the week of Bank Transfer Day, which brought her in today but the $5 fee was another factor for her considering moving her direct deposit to Tower FCU as well. She stressed that the credit union had really helped her out. Watch this video to see more about Tower FCU's Bank Transfer Day at its Columbia branch.
