Staff from the American Credit Union Mortgage Association and several credit unions will travel to Anaheim, Calif., to attend the 2011 annual conference of the National Association of Realtors this week to help better publicize CU mortgage lending.
ACUMA said it will take 22 CU mortgage executives to the meeting, some from the trade group but others from member credit unions and vendors, including Navy FCU, Pentagon FCU, CU Members Mortgage, Prime Alliance Solutions, Baxter CU, Delta Community CU, Financial Partners CU and myCUmortgage.
ACUMA said it has long had the goal of reaching out to real estate professionals with knowledge about credit union mortgage programs and has become a regular attendee of the annual NAR meeting.
This year, ACUMA president Bob Dorsa said the group's large booth has been placed opposite the one from Wells Fargo Bank, a development that Dorsa said "could be interesting."
The four-day conference begins Friday.
