Jack Henry & Associates Inc. said its Symitar division has added 37 credit unions to its credit union client list in the past year.

The Monett, Mo., company said 25 credit unions committed to the Episys system for large credit unions and 12 went with the Cruise platform for smaller credit unions.

Twenty of the credit unions chose to outsource their core processing, following an industry trend, the company said, while 17 decided to run the solution in-house.

“The functionality is great. We can do as much or as little as we want with this system. We can dive in if there's a technical area where we want to get involved. It's nice to have that ability,” said Ryan Roberts, chief operating officer at new Cruise customer, the $15.7 million Great Meadow FCU in Comstock, N.Y.

“Episys provides a 360-degree view of member relationships at the front-line employee's fingertips,” said Mark Brennan, CEO at the $730 million Clearview FCU in Moon Township, Pa. “Our employees are able to spend more time talking with members to determine their needs and providing appropriate solutions, which is the definition of excellent member service.”

Symitar core systems are now in use at more than 700 credit unions, the company said. The 37 new clients were signed during the fiscal year ending June 30.
