Carolina Postal Credit Union has locals seeing zombies.
During the recent Oktoberfest in Hickory, N.C., the un-dead were spotted swarming a Wells Fargo stage coach and reaching out to festival participants to warn them to avoid becoming “Banker Zombies” and instead join a credit union.
The $80 million Charlotte, N.C.-based CPCU is one of 14 credit unions taking part in PTP New Media's zombie invasion campaign designed to help credit unions in their bid for auto loans and credit cards.
CPCU said it plans to spread the word via a mix of a microsite, its Facebook page, direct mail utilizing USPS' new Every Door Direct mail program, e-mail blasts and posters.
