The $426 million Notre Dame FCU in South Bend, Ind., has begun using address verification software from Experian QAS in its branches and mortgage operation, the company and credit union said.
Right now, a staff member spends four hours a day processing returned mail, something the 62,000-member credit union expects to see reduced with the new tools.
“We want our front-line employees to be certain they are getting the right information so we can improve efficiency, but we also need to ensure that our members receive communications in a timely manner,” said Lisa Larkin, director of electronic services at Notre Dame Federal Credit Union
The Experian QAS tool will be used for account opening, address changes and mortgage applications and is expected to reduce the amount of returned mail the credit union receives from statements, onboarding materials and other member documentation.
Boston-based Experian QAS is part of Experian Marketing Services and now has more than 100 financial service clients in North America, about 50 of them credit unions.
