The $1.3 billion, University Federal Credit Union in Austin, Texas, has partnered with CU Campus Resources, a CUSO providing customized student loan and campus relationship advisory services to credit unions.

The 135,000-member CU will offer private student loans to members attending colleges and universities in their surrounding areas through CU Campus Resources, the CUSO said.

“Providing exceptional service and products is at the heart of everything we do and offering private student loans is one more way we can deliver convenience and accessibility for our members,” University FCU CEO Tony Budet said.

Mike Long, EVP and COO for CU Campus Resources, added, “University Federal Credit Union has strong partnerships with many universities. We are excited to be providing the resources necessary to make these loans available to their members and their university partners.”

CU Campus Resources is a wholly owned CUSO of the $1.4 billion UW Credit Union in Madison, Wis., and utilizes core processing technology from Cology Inc. for its student loan services. It holds a student loan portfolio of nearly $400 million.
