Members at two Illinois credit unions can now turn to their credit unions to shop online for vehicles.

The $730 million Motorola Employees Credit Union and the $550 million Consumers Credit Union have signed on with CarQuotes Corp., a CU automotive marketing and technology company.

Through CarQuotes.com, members will be able to research new and used vehicles, read reviews, compare features and receive free vehicle pricing reports, according to the Deerfield, Ill.-based company.

John Fiore, CEO of MECU in Schaumburg, Ill., said it was important to offer members “a better way to find the new or used car that is right for them and then save time and money on the purchase.”

CarQuote's 32 years of experience of assisting CUs with increasing loan opportunities aided in Consumers CU's decision to form the partnership, said Hal Coxon, vice president of sales and marketing at the Waukegan, Ill.-based cooperative.
