PORTLAND, Ore. — The impact of changes in the commercial real estate sector on credit unions is expected to be a key discussion at CU Business Group's Business Services Conference this week.

Keynote speaker John Chang, vice president of research services for Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services, will share his knowledge and insights on the current economic outlook for commercial real estate. Chang is responsible for the production of the firm's array of research publications, tools and services.

On Wednesday, Linda Vick, NCUA problem case officer for region IV, will share the regulator's views on business lending and today's regulatory environment. Vick is also a former NCUA agricultural and commercial lending specialist.

Larry Middleman, president/CEO of CUBG, will presents industry statistics on both lending and deposits along with what the statistics mean for credit unions. The results of the CUBG's second Business Deposits Benchmarking Survey will also be revealed.

CUBG serves 363 credit unions in 42 states.
