PSCU Financial Services said its customized member service work has grown by 11% so far this year.

The Total Member Care contact centers are now serving more than 280 credit unions, gaining an additional 11 clients with 1 million members so far in 2011, the St. Petersburg, Fla., CUSO said.

The contact centers now handle more than 18 million phone and online inquiries a year, PSCU said.

"This dramatic growth illustrates consumers' demand for 24/7/365 access to financial services — ranging from inquires about loan or credit card interest rates to questions about existing accounts. We also become the credit union's front office for a variety of special situations including conversions, home banking updates and mergers," said Michael Kelly, the CUSO's new president and CEO. "And credit unions continue to rely on us to support their members in the event of a natural disaster or service disruption."

New Total Member Care clients range in size from $200 million to more than $1 billion, PSCU said. They include VyStar CU of Jacksonville, Fla.; Citadel FCU of Exton, Pa.; FAIRWINDS CU of Orlando, Fla.; Lake Trust CU of Plymouth, Mich.; Hawaii State FCU of Honolulu; San Diego Metropolitan CU of San Diego, CA; Air Force FCU of San Antonio; Wanigas CU of Saginaw, Mich.; Sb1 FCU of Philadelphia; MECU of Baltimore; and Inova FCU of Elkhart, Ind.
