Mid-Atlantic Corporate FCU will now be protecting member information via an email encryption service from Zix Corporation.
The Middletown, Pa., corporate will use the Dallas company's ZixGateway policy-based encryption system to scan all outbound email and encrypt messages with sensitive information.
“We selected ZixCorp because it is committed to informing client companies about security issues, and email encryption is a very effective tool in our security arsenal,” said Richard Carberry, the 800-member corporate's security administrator.
ZixCorp said it will be a sponsor of Mid-Atlantic Corporate's IT and Security Conference to be held Aug. 16-17 in Harrisburg, Pa., and that it now provides email encryption to more than 1,200 hospitals and 1,500 financial institutions, including more than 250 credit unions.
