Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) recently congratulated Dover Federal Credit Union for its small business lending efforts.

Coons recognized the $330 million credit union in Dover, Del. for closing its first Small Business Administration loan since becoming one of the agency's lenders in April. Coons visited Dover FCU to mark the occasion.

"Getting our economy moving again means giving small business owners the tools they need to turn their ideas into reality," Coons said. "By helping promising entrepreneurs get access to the capital they need to grow, we are helping more Delawareans get back to work. That's why these SBA loans are so important and why I'm excited that Dover Federal Credit Union has closed its first loan."
