TTCU has found its new president/CEO in Chief Financial Officer Tim Lyons.

Lyons succeeds Leslie W. Rector, who will retire Sept. 30.

"Our goal is to help people learn solid personal finance practices and provide the best service and rates possible. Our success has been achieved thanks to the hard work of our employees and the loyalty of our members," said Lyons. "I am thrilled and humbled to have been selected to lead such a dynamic organization."

Lyons joined the Tulsa, Okla.-based credit union in 1989 as vice president/controller and was named CFO in 1996. He has a bachelor of science in accounting with a minor in business administration from Oral Roberts University and has been a CPA since 1983. Most recently, Lyons achieved the Certified Chief Executive designation from the CUES CEO Institute in 2010.

In addition to spearheading new product development, regulatory compliance and branch expansion teams for the credit union, Lyons has played a key role in TTCU growing to $1 billion in assets.
