Pamela Jorgensen, a former senior vice president of Minnesota Corporate Federal Credit Union, has been named interim CEO of Hmong American Federal Credit Union, which the NCUA placed into conservatorship on Wednesday.
The agency is still mum on the reasons for the conservatorship of the $2 million credit union in St. Paul, Minn.
It is "fixing identified weaknesses while continuing to provide services business as usual for the members of the credit union,'' NCUA Director of Public and Congressional Affairs Todd Harper said in an email.
Harper added that the agency moved the credit union to the offices of Spire Credit Union two miles away because that credit union had excess space. He declined to say what was wrong with the existing facility.
Jorgensen has been an independent consultant since July 2004 and before that worked for Minnesota Corporate FCU for more than 13½ years.
