Mid-Cities Financial CU Celebrates Read Across America

The Compton credit union participated in the national event by reading Dr. Seuss books to local schoolchildren.

The $24 million Mid-Cities Financial Credit Union of Compton, Calif. participated in Read Across America last month. Pictured is Development Manager Bessie Griffin, who read Dr. Seuss books to over 70 elementary school students from the Compton Unified School District. The national event was started in 1998 by the National Education Association to motivate children to read, and is held every year on Dr. Seuss's birthday.
