So far 91 members of Congress representing 32 states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands have signed on as honorary race chairs of this year's Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run.
Proceeds from the April 3 event in Washington, D.C. will go towards Credit Unions for Kids, the credit union industry that raises money for local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals which treat 17 million children every year.
"Support from the members of Congress has always been fantastic. We are honored to have so many members join credit unions from across the country to raise awareness and support for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital in their state and/or district, and equally thankful for each of the credit unions that are participating in this year's event," said Charlie Mallon, President/CEO of Congressional Federal Credit Union.

Credit unions have sponsored the run for the last 10 years and have raised more than $8.5 million for the cause.
PSCU Financial Services underwrites most of the race's costs so every dollar raised by credit unions is donated to children's hospitals.
