Credit union core processor R.C. Olmstead Inc. of Dublin, Ohio, says it will now market and support the CAMS-ii core processing platform from Commercial Business Systems Inc. of Goldsboro, N.C., along with its own solution.
CBS has about 65 credit union clients while R.C. Olmstead has about 80. Both companies are about 30 years old.
CBS will continue to focus on the eastern U.S. and RCO will focus on the Midwest, the companies said.
Initial implementation and support will be handled by both organizations, the companies said. Advanced levels of support and continuing enhancement and development of CAMS-ii will be provided by CBS, with RCO taking a product advisory position, they said.
"This will be very positive for both of our client bases and for future credit unions who choose to utilize our services." said Tony Phillips, president of CBS.
Stephen J. Kambeitz, president of RCO, said, "We will continue to sell and support our original, proven product through normal channels for our customers whose needs are met with that system. For those seeking a system with advanced features and technology, we have done the due diligence."
