New and used car shoppers have a new resource to tap, through a new website from Michigan First Credit Union and TrueCar Inc., an automotive solutions provider.
The Member Showroom is available to the general public and offers a suite of services including the ability to research thousands of new and used cars, schedule test drives, receive price quotes and secure financing. The $570 million Michigan First in Lathrup Village, Mich. said it is the first credit union to partner with Zag, a TrueCar company, in the launch of the co-branded website.
According to the company and the credit union, a low-price guarantee will ensure that if the purchaser finds the same vehicle with identical features and options at a lower price within three days of purchasing from the auto-buying service, Zag will refund the difference. Michigan First is offering a 1% loan rate discount for those who have qualified for a loan and purchase a vehicle through the Member Showroom by May 9. The credit union said it will also offer insurance purchasing services through the site in the near future.
Michigan First serves more than 86,000 members.
