Genisys Credit Union and the Pistons Palace Foundation recognized a group of Oakland University students last month during a Detroit Pistons basketball game, bolstering their efforts to fight hunger with an additional $1000 donation to the Lighthouse of Oakland County.
The college students raised $2,598.99 and 459 pounds of food for the charity as part of an annual food drive. They were honored at the game as part of the credit union and Pistons organization's Making a Difference program, which was launched to recognize Generation Y volunteerism.
