Dover Federal Credit Union, Dover, Del., hired Lynne Schwab Schaefer in January as vice president of business services. The new division will provide the Delaware business community with lending and deposit options. Schaefer brings over 20 years of diverse banking experience, most recently with WSFS Business Banking, to her new position. Her areas of expertise include regulatory compliance, training and development, performance consulting, investing, lending and business development.
Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Broomall, Pa., appointed eight Main Line health professionals to its newly formed Main Line Advisory Board. Because these individuals work for the Main Line Health System, they can provide credit union executives with insight and feedback on various initiatives. Initial members of the advisory board include: Claire Baldwin, Joanne Hill, Douglas Hughes, Erin James, Eileen McAnally, Ivan Scott, Brandon Sternbach and Denis Tucker. Members of the advisory board will each serve a three-year, renewable term.
St. Mary's Bank, Manchester, N.H., announced the promotion of Donald A. St. Germain to executive vice president, chief lending officer. St. Germain, who has managed the commercial lending group since joining the credit union in 2008, will now also oversee residential loan origination. St. Germain has 27 years of management and lending experience. He has held senior level positions at several financial institutions, most recently as senior vice president of lending at Community Bank and Trust Company in Wolfeboro, N.H.

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., announced the promotion of Steve Howard to chief financial officer. Howard has served as controller for Consumers since May 2010. In his new position, he will direct and manage all activities in the finance and accounting functions to ensure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations, manage auditing, accounting, and recordkeeping activities of the credit union to ensure they meet generally accepted accounting. Consumers also promoted Scott Sylvester to chief operations officer. Sylvester joined the credit union as a teller in 1994, and has served as chief financial and technology officer since 2008. In his new position, he will direct and coordinate a broad range of strategic and operational activities to achieve the credit union's objectives. Sylvester attended Michigan State University.
CUNA, Madison, Wis., hired Amy Nigrelli as vice president of marketing communications, a new position within CUNA's marketing and sales department. Most recently, Nigrelli was the director of marketing, business and project management for McDermott Will & Emery LLP, an international top-25 law firm in Chicago, where she fulfilled professional marketing and business development operations. At CUNA, Nigrelli will lead the association's marketing operations, which includes driving consistent brand strategy across the various disciplines of the association's products and services. Nigrelli holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa, announced that Ben Frink has been hired to the position of reporting and data specialist. A native of Cedar Falls, Frink was previously employed as a regional assistant with Oakley Inc. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in marketing.

Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., announced the appointment of Dave Dunbar to the position of vice president, finance. Dunbar has more than 20 years of experience working with complex asset liability management, profitability, cost modeling and product development. He recently served as vice president, asset liability management for First State Bank of the Florida Keys. At LGFCU, Dunbar will be responsible for finance functions, including asset liability management, financial analysis and investments. He has an MBA in finance from California State University, and holds numerous certifications and designations in his field.
Louisiana Federal Credit Union, LaPlace, La., named several new executives: Deborah Varnam has been named chief operations officer, and will be responsible for the overall lending operations including mortgage and real estate loans, consumer lending, and collections. Mia Perez is now chief administrative officer. She will oversee the marketing, business development and human resources functions of the credit union. Anthony Landreneau is chief information officer and will oversee systems, information technology and risk management. Jill Zeringue has been made vice president of branch operations. She will be responsible for overseeing branch operations and member service levels at all Louisiana FCU locations.
Kennedy Space Center Federal Credit Union, Merritt Island, Fla., announced that Lee Buchanan has been promoted to assistant vice president/mortgages. Buchanan came to the credit union in 1995 after working in real estate as an appraiser and for three years in title insurance. He started his career with KSCFCU as a loan officer before moving to mortgage lending.

Cathedral Corporation, Rome, N.Y., a national provider of transactional documents, customer care communications, personalized direct mail and e-marketing programs, has named Rick McManimon a national sales account manager for financial services communications. McManimon, who has worked 28 years in the print industry, largely in the business communications field with a focus on new business development, will be responsible for business development in the bank and credit union market, specializing in developing customized solutions to meet the business and communication objectives of prospective customers.
