Two more credit unions have committed to the new Acumen core processing platform from Fiserv Inc., the company said.

They are the $1.6 billion Georgia's Own CU in Atlanta and the $700 million Kawartha CU in Peterborough, Ontario.

The 165,000-member Georgia credit union is undertaking a multi-channel upgrade and also will be using Fiserv's Corillian Online, CheckFree RXP bill pay, Mobile Money, ZashPay P2P and financial accounting solutions. Georgia's Own currently runs on an EPL Inc. core platform, according to its 5300 Call Report.

The 37,000-member Ontario credit union cited integrated loan origination and 360-degree member relationship views among the reasons for its decision to choose Acumen and also will use IVR and corporate performance management solutions from Fiserv, the company and credit union said.

Acumen was rolled out in late 2009 as a new, open platform based on Internet technologies. It has now been sold to about 25 Canadian and American credit unions.
