Royal Credit Union's second CEO, Charlie Grossklaus, has announced his plans to retire from the Eau Claire, Wis.-based credit union effective Jan. 2, 2012.
Of his 40 years with the credit union, Grossklaus has served as president/CEO for 26 years. Under his leadership RCU has grown from $100 million in assets, 100 employees and six branches to $1.2 billion in assets, 582 staffers and 25 branches that serve 18 counties in Wisconsin and 12 counties in Minnesota.
Ready to meet the 2011 goals set by the board, Grossklaus continues to look ahead.

"We have a busy year ahead of us and I'm anxious to keep our momentum going," he said.
The board will launch a national search for a new CEO.
