Experian QAS said the $753 million Seven Seventeen Credit Union in Warren, Ohio, has purchased its address verification software and rolled it out to about 120 employees.

The 72,000-member credit union said it already has found that 4.3% of the addresses in its database were problematic. "We expect this tool to reduce our returned mail rate significantly," said Cheryl D'Amore, the credit union's senior vice president of administrative services.

The QAS Pro enterprise software will be used at all points in the system where an address can be changed or captured and is part of a streamlining of how returned mail is handled at Seven Seventeen, the credit union said. Boston-based Experian QAS said it now has 111 financial services customers in North America, including 49 CUs.
