Hudson River Community Credit Union, Hudson Falls, N.Y., promoted Erika Williams to senior financial services officer at its Hudson Falls branch. In her new position, Williams opens new consumer and business accounts, grants loans to members and member businesses and manages the platform staff in their day-to-day operations. Since joining the staff of the credit union in 2006, she has held the positions of assistant branch manager and financial services officer.

Palisades Federal Credit Union, Pearl River, N.Y., announced the appointment of ?Anthony F. Pili as vice president of sales and marketing. Pili will be based in the credit union's headquarters in Pearl River, N.Y. and will direct marketing, sales, advertising, branding, public relations and community outreach. Prior to his newly appointed role at the credit union, Pili served as assistant vice president and marketing manager at Hudson Valley Bank in Yonkers, N.Y.

WEST

Elevations Credit Union, Boulder, Colo., hired three executives. Jay Champion has been named chief lending officer. Prior to joining Elevations, Champion served as executive vice president/chief lending officer for the $1.7 billion Texans Credit Union in Richardson, Texas. Todd Kern has been named vice president of marketing. Kern comes to Elevations Credit Union from USA Federal Credit Union in San Diego, where he and his team won numerous awards for their work from various trade organizations. Lastly, Ryan Klassen has been named assistant vice president of credit risk management. Klassen was director of lending services for the Englewood, Colo.-based Bellco Credit Union.

Numerica Credit Union, Spokane Valley, Wash., announced that Petra Wilkinson transferred to the Coeur d'Alene branch as branch manager, effective Jan. 3. Wilkinson has worked in the banking industry since 1986. In August 2001, she was hired as a member service officer for the Coeur d'Alene branch.

MIDWEST

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., hired Janet Wolfe as director of staff development. She joined the credit union staff in 2010 with previous experience in organizational development, instructional design, training and facilitation. Her diverse experience has allowed her to migrate across the retail, small appliance manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.

Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa, announced that Gretchen Handfelt has been promoted to the position of training specialist. A native of Cedar Rapids, Handfelt has been employed by Veridian for seven years and was most recently a senior loan officer. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and stays active as a volunteer for Hawkeye Area Community Action Program, March of Dimes and Junior Achievement.

SOUTH

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union, Alexandria, Va., announced Muna Salih as the branch manager of its Providence Hospital branch in Washington, D.C. Salih joined the credit union in September 2010. As branch manager, she will provide essential banking services such as mortgages, home equity loans, car loans, CDs, checking and savings accounts and more.

El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union, El Paso, Texas, announced that David Martinez has joined its accounting department. Martinez, a native of El Paso, graduated in 2004 with a degree in business accounting and has been working in that field since then, acquiring experience in various accounting positions and specializing in credit union accounting since November 2007.

Guardian Credit Union, Montgomery, Ala., announced the retirement of Ann McGinty, its vice president of compliance. McGinty worked at Comala Credit Union, which was recently merged by Guardian, for 30 years, in various branches and through five CEO changes.

Insight Credit Union, Orlando, Fla., announced the promotion of Melody Hayes to the position of training manager. Hayes has been with the credit union for 10 years in the branch operations area. She served as branch manager of two branches for a total of five years. As training manager, Hayes will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating all training functions at the credit union.

Smart Financial Credit Union, Houston, appointed Larry Seidl to the position of senior vice president/chief lending officer. Seidl has more than 24 years in the credit union industry, having previously served as senior vice president/chief operations officer at Dallas Telco FCU. In his new role with Smart Financial, Seidl's chief responsibilities will be to provide strategic direction for all ?areas of the $450 million credit union's lending program, including consumer lending, commercial services, mortgage services, lending operations, loan servicing and collections.

VENDORS

CUNA Mutual Group, Madison, Wis., named Sean Dilweg vice president, product executive effective Jan. 4. In this role, Dilweg will lead CUNA Mutual's mortgage insurance business. His responsibilities will also be to manage CUNA Mutual's interest in CMG Mortgage Insurance Company. Dilweg previously served as the insurance commissioner for Wisconsin, overseeing the regulation of all insurance in the state including life, bond and mortgage insurers.

Informa Research Services, Calabasas, Calif., announced that Chris Goode, an experienced mortgage banking professional, has joined the company as the manager of mortgage lending. Goode has more than 20 years of experience in banking. He has held executive positions at leading financial firms, including Countrywide Financial, Home Savings of America, Aames Financial Corporation, California United Bank and Glendale Federal Bank. Goode is a graduate of the University of Santa Clara and holds an MBA from California State University, Northridge.
