Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., announced that its chief administrative officer, Elizabeth Hayes, was honored with the award of “Top Women in Finance,” presented by Finance & Commerce. Finance & Commerce honors high-achieving women across Minnesota with its annual Top Women in Finance awards program. The award recognizes the outstanding efforts of women who are making notable contributions to their professions, their communities and society at large.

Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union, Alpena, Mich., was presented a second-place Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility and Recognition award from the Michigan Credit Union League for its fundraising for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly called Lou Gehrig’s disease. The award acknowledges the exceptional community contribution and charitable works of a credit union. The judges look at the involvement of staff volunteers at all levels of employment as well as the amount of funds raised.
