Corporate America Credit Union today announced it had hired Joy Breedlove, formerly vice president of educational programs with the League of Southeastern Credit Unions, to develop and execute an educational initiative for its member credit unions.
At LSCU, Breedlove had been charged with directing and implementing a range of educational programs for league members in Florida and Alabama. Her involvement with credit unions dates back to 2001 when she joined the Alabama Credit Union League as a development specialist tasked with working with small and mid-sized Alabama credit unions. She assumed progressively more responsible positions until named vice president in 2008. In 2009 the Alabama Credit Union League merged with the Florida Credit Union League to form the League of Southeastern Credit Unions. Breedlove was named vice president of education at LSCU in January 2010.
Breedlove also served as chairman of the Southeast Regional Credit Union Schools Advisory Committee for a two year term (2009-2010). This committee represents the nine southeastern state leagues of Alabama-Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
