The Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation announced Thursday it has selected John J. Kolhoff as the new deputy commissioner of the Credit Union Division succeeding veteran Roger Little.

"John has a wealth of experience, a broad knowledge base and great familiarity with Michigan credit unions," said OFIR Commissioner Ken Ross. "I am confident that he will continue the long tradition that Michigan has had as a leader in progressive credit union regulation."

Little, a past chairman of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors, started with the agency in 1984 and retired Jan. 1.

Kolhoff has been with OFIR since 1994 and has worked in such areas as depository analysis, information technology and on the risk-based examination process. He became assistant director of the division in 2003.
