Credit union foundations' financial literacy efforts for teens have won honors and grants recently.

Teen participants in an after-school financial literacy program sponsored by the Credit Union Foundation of MD & DC took first place in a regional stock market game.

Competing among 136 teams, the Millionaire's Club of Frederick Douglass High School, Upper Marlboro, Md., earned the top spot with a 22.64% return above the S&P 500 Growth Index over a three-month period.
