Digital Federal Credit Union, Marlborough, Mass., appointed Scott Auen to the position of vice president of mortgage lending. He has been employed with the credit union since 2002 as mortgage operations manager. In his new position, Auen will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of DCU's real estate lending department, which includes origination, processing, underwriting, closing, loss mitigation and loan servicing.
GFA Federal Credit Union, Gardner, Mass., announced the appointment of Elaine T. Fluet to its supervisory committee. Fluet is the CEO of the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association. Her experience includes over 25 years in the community health services industry throughout the Greater Gardner and Fitchburg areas.
Hudson River Community Credit Union, Glen Falls, N.Y., announced the appointment of Jennifer Reiszel as regional manager for its Cohoes and Troy branches. In this capacity, she will direct the operations of the two branches and ensure that they meet organizational, financial, operational, service and growth standards. She was formerly employed as vice president of operations for STCU Credit Union in Springfield, Mass., and has a bachelor's degree in business administration and certification in lending, student loan training and notary public.
St. Anne's Credit Union, Fall River, Mass., announced today that Luisa Rochester has been promoted to assistant vice president of residential lending. In her new position, she will be responsible for the credit union's staff of mortgage originators, mortgage assistants and underwriting personnel. Since joining the credit union in 1999, Rochester has served in a variety of roles in the lending department, most recently as senior loan administrator.
WEST
Redwood Credit Union, Santa Rosa, Calif., announced that its president and CEO Brett Martinez received the distinguished service award from the California Credit Union League. The award-which recognizes outstanding service and dedication to the credit union community, strong advocacy for the credit union industry and volunteer and charitable efforts-was presented to Martinez at the California Credit Union League's recent annual meeting in Anaheim, Calif.
Vantage West Credit Union, Tucson, Ariz., announced that Stephanie Chavez and Jenice Romero have been selected as the credit union's employees of the year. Chavez is the credit union's marketing coordinator, and Romero is a financial services specialist at the credit union's university branch. Both employees were recognized at an employee appreciation dinner, which was held on Dec. 4 at Desert Diamond Casino's Diamond Center in Tucson.
MIDWEST
Catholic Federal Credit Union, Saginaw, Mich., promoted Alan Watson to senior vice president. Watson has been employed at the credit union for the past nine years as the chief financial officer and has knowledge in credit union operations, planning, asset-liability management, investments and insurance. He is a graduate of the Michigan State University Eli Broad College of Business with a major in accounting. He is also a graduate of CUNA Management School, University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he served as president of his class.
Michigan First Credit Union, Lathrup Village, Mich., announced the addition of two new employees to its executive team. Darlene Fisk, former vice president of bank operations for Clarkston Financial Corp., joins the credit union as its new vice president of electronic services, and Chris Maynard, former president of Access Capital Advisors LLC, joins the team as its new vice president of lending. Both bring extensive backgrounds in the financial services industry to their new roles. Fisk will be responsible for overseeing the credit union's electronic delivery channels and access devices, and Maynard will have oversight of its extensive lending portfolio and both consumer and business lending programs.
Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa, hired Courtney Towlerton as a graphic designer. A native of Waterloo, Towlerton was previously employed as a graphic designer at Barmuda Corp. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in graphic design.
SOUTH
Community First Credit Union, Jacksonville, Fla., named Louise Davis as the branch manager for its Westside branch. Davis has spent almost a decade in the credit union industry, working in a range of member service roles, including senior teller, member service representative and contact center representative. In this new role, Davis will direct member satisfaction initiatives, oversee her branch's operations and train staff members.
Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., announced the addition of five new advisory council members to five of its 28 councils across the state. Timmy King was appointed to the Coastal Plain council, Terry DePoyster to the Foothills council, Jason Owens to the Lake Hickory council, Alice Sharpe to the Research Triangle council and Sylvia Johnson to the Western Triangle council.
Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, promoted Ruben Rodriguez to asset recovery call center manager. He previously served as a collections supervisor in asset recovery. In his new position, he will be responsible for developing policies and procedures and managing the asset recovery call center, including supervisors, specialists and staff.

MaPS Insurance Services, Salem, Ore., announced that Ed Davis has been elected to the board of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Oregon. Davis is a senior account executive for commercial insurance clients at MaPS Insurance Services LLC, a subsidiary of MaPS Credit Union. Davis has more than 45 years of insurance industry experience. In addition to his recent board election, he also serves the IIABO as chair of its legislative committee.
