Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union, Westbury, N.Y., announced that Michael Egan concluded his 27-year-long career with the credit union when he retired from his post as executive vice president and chief operating officer on Oct. 1. With over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, Egan served as an integral part of NEFCU since 1983, when he was hired as manager of information services and promoted two years later. Among the highlights of Egan’s years at the NEFCU are the strategic direction and implementation of the credit union’s recent expansion to community charter; the 2007 introduction of business services; and technology enhancements such as remote deposit capture, mobile banking and online mortgage options.
