JM Associates Federal Credit Union has partnered with its SEG sponsor to offer the company's employees a re-loadable "smart badge."
The employee identification security badge uses smart chip technology that allows them to make purchases in the company's on-site cafes and hair and nail salon.
It's free to employees and offers the ability to add funds to their ID badges through cash deposits, electronic transfer or payroll deposit, the credit union said.
The $83 million JMAFCU is based in Jacksonville, Fla., and has four branches in three states-Florida, Alabama and Missouri. Sponsor JM Family Enterprises is an automotive dealer, wholesaler, financer and insurance provider.
JMAFCU was established by employees of Southeast Toyota in 1980 and now has more than 7,100 members around the world.
