Jack Henry & Associates said it has signed eight credit unions as new users of its Symitar Cruise core processing platform in the past two months.

They include the $65 million Mississippi FCU of Jackson and the $44 million Greater Eastern CU of Johnson City, Tenn., according to Jack Henry of Monett, Mo.

The former currently is an EPL Inc. core processing client and the latter runs on an Open Solutions Inc. platform, according to the Callahan & Associates Technology Survey.

“We consistently look for ways to expand our member base and needed an intuitive, robust platform which offers top of the line service that will allow us to achieve that goal,” said Peggy Brown, CEO of Greater Eastern CU

“The convenience of the Cruise OutLink Data Center environment is ultimately what led us to choose the platform for our core processing needs,” said Marilyn Hobson, CEO of Mississippi FCU.

The Cruise platform is designed for smaller credit unions and now has about 175 users, with another 550 running on Symitar's Episys platform, Jack Henry said.
