Allied Solutions, Carmel, Ind., representative Amy Skeptaris received a “Special Teams Player” award from Credit Union West of St. Paul, Minn. The award is reserved for people who make extra effort to support the credit union. In the case of a vendor, the award goes to someone who provides “unanticipated levels of service.” The Special Teams Player award is presented only when management is moved to acknowledge extraordinary service. Skeptaris, who was surprised with the award one morning by credit union executives, is now a client development manager for Allied Solutions.
CO-OP Financial Services, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Anita Macias, assistant to the president, are the 2010 recipients of the “Kim Bannan Eternal Flame Award.” The awards, presented by the California Credit Union League, recognize efforts that contribute to the success and future of Shapiro Group credit unions through the cooperative spirit of people helping people. Macias was recognized for being a champion of small credit unions, especially through the San Francisco-based Patelco CU’s Adopt-a-Credit Union program, which offered sponsorship opportunities, strategic planning facilitation and funds to open branches, operating grants and zero-interest CDs to various Bay Area credit unions. The award recipient in the company category, CO-OP Financial Services, was honored for the assistance it provided in 2010 to help Shapiro-sized credit unions be involved with league advocacy efforts.
