Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union, Sacramento, Calif., helped raise more than $14,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Working with the Sacramento MDA, Addison employees raised funds and demonstrated support for co-worker Pang Thao, whose nine-year-old brother was recently diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. More than 60 people participated in the Addison Avenue “Strike Force Bowl-A-Thon” event, raising $6,482. Addison contributed an additional $7,565. Addison Avenue’s donation is helping send local children to MDA summer camp, support the Sacramento MDA Clinic at the UC Davis Medical Center, and fund research for Duchenne, a genetic disease that progressively weakens skeletal muscles.

Genisys Credit Union, Auburn Hills, Mich., supported the Auburn Hills Police Department’s 10th annual National Night Out. The event, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, is held each year to increase awareness of crime ?prevention and community involvement.
