Captain Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III, the pilot who heroically landed a plane on the Hudson River, and political commentators Arianna Huffington and Mary Matalin are among the speakers at CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference.
The conference will be held at the Washington, D.C., Convention Center from Feb. 27 to March 3, 2011.
Sullenberger will describe his experiences on that January 2009 day when he masterfully landed the plane on the river, saving the lives of the 155 people on board. The liberal Huffington and conservative Matalin will debate each other on the issues of the day.
