Betterment.com, an online investing service, launched a new suite of products yesterday at the FinovateFall 2010 financial technology conference in New York City.
Betterment's iPhone app gives users access to their account on the go. It enables account balance, composition and returns updates in real-time; deposits and withdrawals; changes to stock and bond allocation; and access to full account and transaction history.
Betterment's automatic savings plan allows customized, recurring automatic deposits, allowing users to reach their savings goals faster by establishing a long-term savings plan in seconds.
These new offerings build on a service that helps customers invest in the right stock and bond allocation for their individual needs and sets intelligent defaults to help people make better investing decisions.
"Betterment offers everyone from traditional savers to sophisticated investors a hybrid investment that delivers the financial performance of a diverse, conservative stock and bond portfolio with the ease of use and liquidity of an online banking account," CEO Jon Stein said.
