The undercover sheriff detective who admitted to shooting and killing the president/CEO of Credit Union of Atlanta in July was back on the job within days of the incident.

Dean Gaymon, president/CEO of CUA, was fatally shot July 16 by an officer with the Essex County's Sheriff Department at a Newark, N.J. park. Katherine Carter, a spokeswoman with the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, confirmed the officer is back on the job and has been reassigned to Office of Emergency Management until after the case is presented to the grand jury. The case has not been presented to the grand jury yet, she noted.

Carter told Credit Union Times the officer was back "within days of the shooting. He has been back for a while."
