Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union, Aberdeen, Md., announced that Carole Fraser, APGFCU's assistant manager of support services, has been awarded the designation of certified individual retirement account professional, through Ascensus and NAFCU. Fraser earned the CIP designation by successfully completing an intensive study program and an examination. She is an IRA professional who has achieved the highest standard of expertise and excellence in educational and retirement products. The nationally recognized certification program is designed exclusively for credit union professionals who have IRA compliance responsibilities.

Fall River Municipal Credit Union, Fall River, Mass. announce two additions to its staff.

Lisa Lamoureux has joined the credit union as a branch manager. Lamoureux has worked in the banking field for 16 years and was most recently an assistant branch manager at a regional bank. In her new role, Lamoureux will be responsible for the daily operations of a branch and business development. Kris Cambra has joined Fall River Municipal as an assistant branch manager. Cambra has worked in banking for 23 years and has experience being a senior teller, assistant branch manager and branch manager. In her role as assistant branch manager, Cambra will be interacting with members on a one-to-one basis as well as assisting the branch manager with the daily responsibilities of running a branch.

St. Anne's Credit Union, Fall River, Mass., announced that Thomas Mullen has been hired as the credit union's compliance officer/assistant vice president. Mullen comes to the credit union with more than 10 years of compliance and risk management experience. He has a degree from the University of Rhode Island and a business analyst certification from Bryant University. In his new role, Mullen will assume responsibility for the credit union's overall compliance for savings, loans, operations and BSA.

MIDWEST

American 1 Federal Credit Union, Jackson, Mich. has promoted two employees to managerial positions. Sarah Miller was promoted to accounting manager. Previously, Miller worked for three years as a teller supervisor and bookkeeper for another financial institution. She was hired by the credit union in December 2006 into the accounting department. Miller is currently seeking a degree in accounting at Baker College. Frances Gibbs was promoted to branch manager of American 1's Vandercook branch. Gibbs was hired as an account specialist in August 2008. Three months later, she was promoted to member service specialist and recently became a manager-in-training.

SOUTH

Chartway Federal Credit Union, Virginia Beach, Va., welcomed Rick Lieberman as a new vice president of lending. Lieberman joined Chartway with more than 30 years of experience working with financial institutions, mostly in executive positions at large national banks and finance companies. He had been a part of Chartway from 1986-1989 when Chartway was formally Naval Air Federal Credit Union. Lieberman is now responsible for Chartway's overall management of the consumer and mortgage lending areas, including origination, processing, credit decisions and servicing of both direct and indirect loans.

Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, Tampa, Fla., said that Juli Lewis, youth marketing manager, has been elected to serve as the southeast regional coordinator and secretary for the National Youth Involvement Board, a national credit union coalition that focuses on financial education for youth. As southeast regional coordinator, Lewis represents Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland and Washington D.C. Lewis will advocate for more youth financial education at credit unions in these states and encourage reporting and quantitative measurements for the program.

Pentegra Retirement Services, White Plains, N.Y., announced that Michael Lussier has been elected to serve on the board of the Pentegra defined contribution plan for financial institutions.

Lussier is the president/CEO of Webster First Federal Credit Union in Worcester, Mass.

Securian Financial Group Inc., St. Paul, Minn., said that Kathleen L. Pinkett has been named vice president of human resources and corporate services, effective Oct. 1. She will report directly to Chairman/CEO Robert L. Senkler. Pinkett succeeds Keith M. Campbell, senior vice president of human resources and corporate services, who will retire Oct. 1 after 38 years with Securian. Pinkett joined Securian in 1981 as an assistant analyst in management services. In 1995, after holding increasingly responsible business positions, she joined the human resources department as director of human resources planning.
