Hudson River Community Credit Union, Corinth, N.Y., announced that CEO Susan Commanda will serve a one-year term on the Community Credit Union Committee. Commanda will work alongside a team of 11 credit union officials from across the country to support credit unions that are considering a community charter through representation of the legal, legislative and regulatory needs of community credit unions.

Southern Mass Credit Union, Fairhaven, Mass., announced that Jessica Demello has been appointed to manager of the credit union's newest branch in New Bedford. Demello has held positions at community banks as well as large corporate banks. She will oversee operations at the new full-service branch where she hopes to more closely interact with members.

Kinecta Federal Credit Union, Manhattan Beach, Calif., announced that Amy Hsu will be the organization's new director of deposit product and research. Hsu's new responsibilities include developing strategies and overseeing the department's research for all deposit products. Hsu is a former employee of ResMAE Mortgage Corp. and JPMorgan Chase where she gained experience carrying out many of the same responsibilities required of her at Kinecta. She holds a bachelor of arts in economics and international relations from Cornell University.

Kitsap Credit Union, Kingston, Wash., announced the promotion of Suzanne Tapper to the position of branch manager for the Kingston Branch. With more than eight years of experience within the financial industry, Tapper will play a key role in building quality relationships within the Kingston community.

Redwood Credit Union, Santa Rosa, Calif., announced that Senior SBA Loan Officer Jason Ehn was recognized as a member of North Bay Business Journal's "40 Under 40″ list, a collection of young professionals distinguished for their contributions to the local business community. Ehn, who has 12 years of experience with SBA lending services, joined RCU in 2008 and helped the credit union move to No. 1 for SBA lending in the North Bay Area. Ehn holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA where he specialized in business administration.

MIDWEST

Financial Center Federal Credit Union, Indianapolis, Ind., announced that Marco Dominguez is the organization's new director of community sales. Dominguez, who holds more than 25 years of experience in public relations and sales, will build on Financial Center's community relations and leadership in the area's Hispanic market. Dominguez holds a masters degree in telecommunication arts from Butler University.

Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union, Clinton Township, Mich., announced that former branch manager Mary Griffith has been promoted to regional director. Griffith, who has been with the credit union for 26 years, has previously served as consumer loan manager and loan officer among other positions.

Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, East Lansing, Mich., announced that Joyce Banish, vice president of university and community public relations, will retire from her position after 27 years of service within the credit union industry. Banish held the position of vice president for 26 years at the credit union.

Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa, announced that JoEllen Zmolek Nyguist has been appointed as the CU's project specialist for communications. Zmolek Nyguist previously served as senior marketing strategist at Innova Ideas & Services and graduated from Iowa State University with an MBA.

SOUTH

Coastal Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., announced that Marvin Jones will serve as the organization's new vice president of coastal wealth management. Jones' new responsibilities will include developing product ideas and overseeing a team of advisers who work with members to provide retirement advice, investment management and planning, trust services and insurance. Jones previously served as an agency sales director and holds 36 years of business experience. He has held positions as divisional vice president, investment adviser financial planner at different organizations.

Dow Louisiana Federal Credit Union, Gonzales, La., announced that Aaron Jarrett has been hired as the new vice president of finance. Jarrett previously served as internal audit senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he acquired years of experience within the finance industry. He will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions at the credit union. LaToya Stewart is also new to the organization and will assume the role of director for internal audit. Stewart previously held positions at Deloitte & Touche LLP and Postlethwaite & Netterville where she planned and conducted audits and adjusted existing audit programs.
