A CU in New Jersey has launched a series of seminars meant to help its members use their Apple iPad's more efficiently.

The iPad is a new notebook computer from the Apple computer company. It retails for between $499 to $899 with additional charges for 3G wireless service over cell phone networks.

The United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Tinton Falls, N.J.- will offer free seminars on the Apple iPad at its branches in Holmdel, Marlboro, and Tinton Falls. Slated to run through November, four different seminars conducted by a certified Apple consultant will be held in each of the three branches.

"The iPad is unique and creates convenience for its user, much like our community credit union does for its members," said Leo R. Ardine, CEO of UTF. "In addition to our usual seminars that focus on financial matters, we thought these seminars would also be enjoyed by our existing members as well as the local community."

In addition, UTF will give away one iPad in a contest in which entries can be earned by attending the seminars and by signing up for various convenience services related to checking and other accounts.
