The Credit Union Mortgage Alliance Network's plans to expand nationwide will be guided with the aid of a new president and vice president.

Diane Johnson is the newly appointed president and Dirck Van Deusen is vice president, mortgage business development at Basking Ridge, N.J.-based CUMAnet. Johnson said there is tremendous potential for the brokerage side of the business and her roles will include improving efficiencies, building upon existing relationships and expanding into new markets.

Johnson succeeds Chet DeStefano, who took the helm at CUMAnet in August 2009. A CUSO spokeswoman did not provide details on DeStefano's departure saying "It is against corporate policy to release information on individuals previously employed by CUMAnet."

Van Deusen's role will include raising the overall industry awareness of CUMAnet through developing and expanding credit union portfolios by helping them and their members get the solutions they need, according to the CUSO.

CUMAnet said it originally began with a northeast regional presence, but has since expanded to Washington, Chicago and other markets.
