The votes are tallied and the results are in. The CUES Next Top Credit Union Executive six regional finalists have been announced.
The contestant with the highest number of votes in each region was selected as a finalist. All the finalists will contribute blog and video updates from now through November on their ideas or projects to advance their credit unions or the industry as a whole.
The finalists are: Tina Hall from Verity Credit Union in Seattle, Wash., for the West region; Amy Grothaus from CommunityAmerica Credit Union in Kansas City, Mo., for the Midwest region; Amy Stanton from Connex Credit Union in North Haven, Conn., for the Northeast region; James Roller from Tinker Federal Credit Union in Oklahoma City, for the Southwest region; Ronaldo Hardy from La Capitol Federal Credit Union in Baton Rouge, La., for the Southeast region; and Jodi Chambers from Assinibione Credit Union in Winnipeg, Manitoba, for Canada.
"The final six are from a broad range of credit union sizes and some very good ideas have risen to the top," said Tim McAlpine, president and creative director at Currency Marketing, a marketing firm that helped CUES develop the contest.
Each finalist will receive registration, accommodation and airfare to CUES' CEO/Executive Team Network in Dallas from Nov. 7-10. At the conference, each finalist will present their project and compete for the grand prize, a CUES educational package and the title of the Next Top Credit Union Exec.
The winner will be chosen by a judging panel, who, like a reality television voting panel, will offer the contestants immediate feedback after they present, and voting from online site visitors and conference attendees.
