One of the goals of the African American Credit Union Coalition's Eastern regional chapter's June 26 meeting is to build a network of CU professionals in several states.
The chapter comprises the following states: Maryland, Virginia, Washington, Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
According to the AACUC, in addition to building an alliance of professional in the CU industry, the chapter wants to provide financial literacy and outreach opportunities throughout their respective communities.
The meeting will take place June 26 from 10:00-3:00 p.m. at the Municipal Employees Credit Union in Baltimore. More details can be found at www.aacuc.org.
The AACUC's annual conference will take place Aug. 4-7 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch in St. Louis.
