NASCUS Chairman Tom Candon has named Board Member Mary Hughes to fill the two-year board term vacated when former NASCUS Chairman George Reynolds retired.

Candon named Kathy Stewart, a regulator from Kentucky, to fill Hughes' one-year term. It will be Stewart's first term on the association's board.

Hughes is the Financial Institutions Bureau chief of the Idaho Department of Finance and Stewart is director of the Division of Financial Institutions for the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions.

Reynolds served a two-year term as NASCUS chairman that ended last August. He retired from his post as the top credit union regulator in Georgia earlier this year.

Linda Jekel, Washington's director of Credit Unions, will also now return to the past chairman officer position in Reynolds' place.
