In a rebranding move, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions has adopted a new name–Leverage–for its newly consolidated service corporation combining entities of the Florida and Alabama leagues.

The league said the Leverage name demonstrates the firm's ability to provide a market edge to its credit union clientele across the U.S. as a vendor of discounted services using collaborative buying power.

In a statement, Patrick La Pine, president/CEO of LSCU, said Leverage's business service division is offering CUs 70% savings on office supplies through the Office Depot chain.

Also, Leverage CUs on the Ventelligence vendor contract program have experienced a 25.5% savings on commodity purchases, while a link to Sprint Mobile Services generated $300,000 in noninterest income to participating CUs during 2009.

Leverage, said the league, maintains a full suite of audit, compliance, lending, HR, operations and executive search services in addition to Office Depot and Sprint Mobile. LSCU said it also is offering turnkey and remarketing auctions for autos plus vehicle valuations and auto buying discounts. A new Leverage Web site, www.myleverage.com., debuted April 5.
