Stanford Federal Credit Union recently took part in Twestival 2010 demonstrating how much good can be accomplished-one tweet at a time.

Twestival was created as a way to harness social media by bringing together talent and resources for a single day to spark change and raise funds for a good cause. A total of 175 cities worldwide participated by hosting Twestival events on March 25 to benefit education.

Serving as the main sponsor of the local Palo Alto Twestival efforts, the over $640 million credit union hosted a celebration at the B412 nightclub. Spreading the word via Twitter and Facebook, Twestival supporters were also encouraged to buy tickets for the event by donating online at www.paloalto.twestival.com. Some 60 people attended the Stanford FCU event which raised over $1,700.
